What the LSKD Team is Wearing for 25km for 2025

Written by: Bree Masters

The countdown to the LSKD 25km for 2025 is officially on, and our team is gearing up in style! What you wear can make all the difference, and the LSKD team knows how to combine performance, comfort, and style like pros. Here’s a breakdown of what our team will be wearing for the big day.

What is 25km for 2025?

The purpose of 25km for 2025 is to get our community moving on January 1st by walking, running, or riding any distance they choose. While the aim is 25km, this event is all about participation, positivity, and starting the year strong. What began on the Gold Coast has now expanded to seven locations, bringing even more of our community together to share the energy and vibes we all love.

Tegan McKenzie: Collaborations manager at lskd

Tegan is our powerhouse Collaborations Manager at LSKD, who’s tackling her first major running challenge with 25km for 2025. Inspired by the incredible women runners around her at LSKD, Tegan saw this as the perfect opportunity to step into the world of running - and hold herself accountable.

A couple of weeks into the 12-week training plan, Tegan hit some big milestones. After previously maxing out at 10km runs, she’s now ready to tackle 25km on New Years Day —go, Tegan! Her key to success? Mixing up her routine with Pilates, weight training, and flexibility in her work schedule. With access to lunchtime workouts at LSKD HQ, Tegan balances her training seamlessly around her role.

Tegan’s race day outfit:

Her advice for anyone considering a long-distance challenge: “Just keep going. Running can surprise you - some days are easy, and others are tough, but it’s all worth it!”

Carole Donaghy: COLLABORATIONS COORDINATOR AT LSKD

Collaborations Coordinator Carole once laughed at the idea of running long distances. Now? She’s getting ready to crush her first 25km runs and proving herself wrong on New Years Day. For Carole, the biggest hurdle has been overcoming self-doubt. But with each milestone - like completing her first continuous 5km - she’s gained confidence and pride in her progress.

Carole’s ultimate goal is to cross the 25km finish line, proving that stepping outside her comfort zone was worth it.

Carole’s race day outfit:

Her advice: “Celebrate progress over perfection. It’s about the experience, not the pace!”

Hannah Ward: digital marketing coordinator at lskd

Known for her love of functional fitness, Hannah is rediscovering her passion for running through the 25km for 2025 challenge. After stepping away from competitive running, Hannah has embraced this new journey as a way to explore her limits - and find joy in the sport again.

By focusing on small technique adjustments, she’s hit major milestones, including a 12km run by week two of training. Her goal? Simply to finish the race without stopping, proving to herself what she’s capable of.

Hannah’s race day outfit:

Her tip: “Run slow to run fast. Pacing and structure are everything!”

Macca Ryan: store development manager at lskd

Macca brings years of running experience and wisdom to the team. From leading his own run club to mentoring first-time runners, Macca knows that pacing and recovery are just as important as logging the kilometers.

His secret to success? Programming his watch to maintain a steady pace during the first few kilometers to avoid burnout. Macca also emphasises the importance of hydration, quality sleep, and listening to your body.

Macca’s race day outfit:

His advice: “Just start. Take it one day at a time, and remember—race day is the celebration of all your hard work!”
